About Us

We are a community FTC Robotics team located in Wayne, New Jersey. Our team currently consists of 15 students from three different high schools spanning over a radius 45 miles. The common interest for our team is Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. Our team has been participating in FIRST competitions for the past six years; three years in FIRST Lego League and this is our fourth season in FIRST Tech Challenge. We hosted the NJ FTC’s inaugural North Jersey Wayne Hills Wrap up Meet in the Block Party Season (2014); we continued hosting in the FTC Cascade Effect season and is now a sustainable event conducted through Wayne Hills FTC Team. For the FIRST RES-Q Season we will be co-hosting the NJ FTC’s Liberty Science Center Qualifier.

Our Mission

Our mission is to energize students of all ages in Wayne and nearby communities in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. We seek to inspire students to create teams in the nearby middle and high schools in the FIRST robotics competitions and benefit from the invaluable skills we have developed from our experiences with FIRST.

The JDroids consists of 15 highly dedicated members who are all committed to making us the best team that we can be. Each of our members specialize in areas such as design, build, programme, outreach, and logging. We also have 5 very commited mentors who guide our team for success.
